White Beach Puerto Galera Philippines - DIY Travel Guide
Puerto Galera is a village on Mindoro Island in the Philippines. It is famous for diving spots and beaches. The long curve of White Beach is surrounded by bars and resorts. Inland, there is a forest road leading to the distant Talipanan Falls, and a nine -hole golf course is located on the shore. To the northeast, there is plenty of sea and coral life on the shores of Sabang Beach. Medio and Panicia Island offer quiet beaches.
I make this blog to help people who want to go to Puerto Galera. But do not know how to get here. I have been here many times and I would say it is one of my favorite beaches. On my blog, I will share what you can do here, how to get here, and of course how much it costs to get here.
If you want to go on vacation and get rid of the stress of your life, I recommend you to go here and see the amazing corals, sea creatures, and white sand beaches provided by nature. While you observe them, you will feel stress relieved and replaced by rest.
It is a good accommodation for diving enthusiasts, apart from the many and various types of accommodation, it is also close to Diving spots.

Public and Private Transportation
The cheapest and most common way to get to Puerto Galera from Manila is via Batangas. You need to take a ferryboat from Batangas Pier to one of the two ports in Puerto Galera. Balatero Port is close to White Beach and Aninuan Beach, and Muelle Port is closer to Sabang Beach.
Jam Liner Bus Terminal - There is one in GMA Kamuning and another in the LRT Buendia area, many buses pass by and stop several times in Sto. tomas and Tanauan Batangas. If you want a quick trip, take the bus with the Calabarzon sign. This means the bus will take the Star Tollway, which passes through most towns and cities between SLEX and Batangas City. Travel time is 2 ~ 3 hours heading to Batangas Pier, and the fare is Php 207($ 5) if you are from GMA Kamuning or Buendia Php 197 ($ 4).
If you have a private car, the route is the same, then at the Batangas pier depends on whether you take the car on the Ferryboat or leave it at the Batangas pier, there is a paid parking lot.
When you arrive at Batangas Pier, go straight to the ticket counter, you may encounter people outside the pier and they'll tell you "there's no travel at the moment", Don't believe them. They're just trying to get you on their expensive private boat, just go straight to the ticket counter, I always ride the Minolo Shipping line or Father 'n Son lines, it's straight to White Beach or Sabang beach and the fare is Php 500 ($11) Round trip, you have to pay also the terminal fee for Php 30 ($ .62) each person.
Minolo Shipping Lines |
At Puerto Galera Beach, there is also an environmental fee that costs Php 50 ($1), while we board the Minolo Shipping lines we do not have to go through Balatero or Muelle port, it goes straight to the white beach, but if your boat is up to the port I mentioned, you need to take a tricycle to go to your hotel where you will stay, the amount of tricycle fee per trip is Php 200 ($4) or Php 50 ($1) per person.

Since I have an acquaintance who is local in Puerto Galera, our boat for Island hopping fee was Php 1,700 ($36) for 4 people the original price was approximately Php 2000 ($42), throughout the day we went on our island hopping tour, Haligi Beach, Bayanan Beach, Sandbar, Coral Garden, Underwater Cave, and Giant Clam area.
Puerto Galera has other attractions besides Island hopping. You can explore using a tricycle and the price is Php 800 (17$) for 4 people. These are located at land tours, Tamaraw Falls, Infinity Farm, Turukan Falls, and Hanging Bridge.
If you don't want to ride a tricycle, there are other vehicles, jeepney, multi-cab, and charter, which are Php 2,000 ($42) more expensive per trip than tricycles. bring extra money, just in case there is something else to pay.
