Sand Bar at Calatagan Batangas |
Calatagan consists of the Calatagan Peninsula between the South China Sea and Balayan Bay. The sandy beach near the peninsula is a famous resort and leisure place. There are Banak House on Calatagan Beach, Ronco Beach Resort in Barangay Bagong Silang, Playa Calatagan in Barangay Santa Ana, Lago De Oro Resort in Barangay Balibago, Manuel Uy and Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort in Barangay Sta Ana. Calatagan was formerly named Forbes Park because of a wealthy family that owns land here.
An extremely rare example of a Pre-Spanish Philippines script was found in Calatagan. The script is called Baybayin in Tagalog, derived from Java, derive from Brahmi. This article remains in earthenware pots made in the 13th and 14th centuries. Spanish lighthouse can also be found in the Cafe Santiago at the southern tip of the peninsula in the 1890s, and are one of the city's major tourist attractions.
I Recommend this beach because you can see the wonderful Sandbar and beautiful Starfish, enjoy beautiful scenery, and play games with your friends. Besides, it is not far from Manila, and it takes about 3-4 hours from here in Manila to Calatagan Batangas.
Private Transportation: If you travel by road, the best way to reach Calatagan Batangas is via South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). If you have a Smartphone with a trusted internet connection, you can use Waze Navigation to have no problems navigating. Most Beach and Resort are 20 minutes drive from downtown.
Public Transportation: You can take a bus or a van to Calatagan. By Van Transportation, there is a van near the Kabayan Hotel MRT Taft Station to Calatagan Batangas, which costs Php 180 per person, and take a bus to Calatagan Batangas near the MRT Taft Station. The bus to Calatagan Batangas leaves from 4:00 am to 4:30 pm every day, the bus fare is Php 160.
Since we have a Travel Event Organizer, on this trip we spent Php 1,500 per person, it will be used for Van Transportation, Tollgate Fee, Floating Cottage Fee, Environmental Fee, and Boodle Fight.

In November 2019, My Colleagues and I gathered to go to the beach. The reason why I'm going to Calatagan Batangas is to see Little Boracay. From Manila, we traveled to Calatagan Batangas for 3-4 hours, when we arrived at Calatagan Batangas, we waited for another hour because we arrived a little earlier. We take a Floating Cottage to Sandbar for about 20 minutes and before we get here you'll see a beautiful view of the Calatagan Batangas area.

When we were in the Sand Bar we started swimming and playing. And of course, we also saw some beautiful Starfish, after a few hours we went to the quite deep part of the water to start snorkeling and there we saw beautiful corals and different kinds of fish.

Manuel Uy Beach Resort This is not the end of our journey. We traveled to The Gingerbread House in Alfonso Cavite near Tagaytay for about an hour before returning to Manila. For those who don’t know Gingerbread House, I will share my little knowledge about this place. Do you like fairy tales or have you ever heard of Hansel and Gretel? The Gingerbread House is complexly connected to the pictorial fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. In the story, two children, Hansel and Gretel, get lost in the forest. They come across a house made of gingerbread covered with frost and candy. Unfortunately, it is the house of an evil witch. She makes friends with children, gains weight, and tries to eat.
