Mount Daraitan in the Philippines. It is located in the provinces of Rizal and Calabarzon, 50 km east of the capital Manila, and is located at an elevation of 719 m, surrounding terrain or 173 m. Wide-footed. 
Most of the land around Mount Daraitan is hilly. The highest point in the area is Mount Malabito at an elevation of 1,334 m, 8.0 km north of Mount Daraitan. The nearest big city is Sampalok, 11.7 km southwest of Mount Daraitan.

It is located on Mount Daraitan in the Philippines.
The surrounding area of Daraitan is almost forested. It has a population of about 369 people per square kilometer. The climate is tropical subtropical. The warmest months are April, 24°C, and the coldest December averages 20°C. The wettest month of the year was August, with 617 mm of rain and 22 mm of rain in April. 








Nowadays, young people, even adults, love hiking, and one of the most visited mountains are Mount Daraitan, and besides it is easy to reach, I will share on this blog what you can do here, how to get here and what you see on Mount Daraitan.

Mount Daraitan is easily accessible, you can use public transportation, and private transport, if you use public transportation, the estimated travel time from Metro Manila to Daraitan Mountain is 3-4 hours, and if you have a car, it is 2 and 1/2 hours.


Public Transportation 


From Edsa-Shaw Crossing, you can take a van or Jeep to Tanay Rizal, the fare is Php 70 to Php 90 when you arrive in Tanay Rizal, take another Jeep to Sampaloc, and the fare is Php 30 when you arrive in Sampaloc you need to take a tricycle to the barangay the fee for the tricycle is Php 100 per person, you also have to cross the river using a wide raft the fare here is Php 10 when you cross the river you take the tricycle again to Barangay hall the fee is Php 10 each.


Private Transportation


Take the Marcos Expressway to Tanay Infanta Road, turn left on a rough road, and follow the road until the Barangay Daraitan River crosses. The cost of crossing the bridge here is PHP 50. Just go straight to Barangay Hall.

The adventure will start when you arrive at the Barangay hall and register for the amount of Php 20, you also need to get a Tour Guide because hikers are not allowed to climb without a tour guide, the cost of the Tour Guide is Php 500 for a Day hike and Php 1,250 for the overnight stay, you also have to pay for the environmental cost of Php 100 it's better if you have a large group so that you can share your expenses less.






If you own a car, you can park on one side of the resident's house, don't worry, it's safe to park here, the fare is only php 50, and for overnight is Php 100.


After all the preparations you can start climbing, more than three to four hours before reaching the summit, be careful of the stepping stones and listen to the advice of your tour guide, this is for your safety, it is easy to climb Mount Daraitan, but if Rainy season it is one of the difficult trails due to slippery and muddy.

The climb of Mount Daraitan will not be completed if you do not go to the Tinipak River, it is one of the treasures of Tanay Rizal, so don’t forget to include it in your itinerary.

















Aside from this beautiful view, here are other things you can do at Tinipak River.


Cliff Diving 





You can Cliff Dive here, and the tour guide will tell you where to cliffs dive, and where you can't, so listen carefully to the tour guide so you don't get hurt.


Swimming





You can still swim freely here as long as you want, but listen to the tour guide because there is a part of the water that has a strong current, you can be dragged under large rocks, so be careful

Caving






You can also visit the Cave here, you can see many bats and beautiful rock shapes, there is also a small pool in it, you can also swim here.

Camping





You can also do all night camping on the Tinipak River, there is a place where you can set up a tent for free, or you can rent cottages for Php 200.
